EHSP Professor Receives Award in Pharmacology

The EHSP would like to congratulate Dr. Charles Short, Professor Emeritus of Equine Pharmacology, Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences, EHSP, LSU, who received the European Association for Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology Lifetime Achievement Award.

This was the first time that a non-EAVPT member has received this prestigious award! The Lifetime Achievement Award is only given to those of international standing who have served the discipline with distinction. This award is presented infrequently and is reserved for those deserving their highest honor. Dr. Short was recognized for his outstanding contributions as a specialist in the pharmacology of drugs of several classes and especially for his contribution to the science of pharmacokinetics.
